Specifications include, but are not limited to: The New Farmer Pilot Project is a potentially transformative year-long initiative that will support the growthof new agricultural enterprises in Montgomery County, MD.Our goals are to:- Provide new agriculture/horticulture businesses with technical/professional support- Assist new agriculture/horticulture businesses with marketing their products- Provide new entrepreneurs with mentors and- Assist farmers with long-term access to land.The Montgomery County, MD Department of Economic Development invites statements of interest,qualifications and performance information from individuals who wish to serve as Mentors underprofessional service contract for a maximum of one year.The County anticipates the need to fill approximately five (5) Mentor positions. Generally, the Countyplans to have a ratio of one Mentor to one Mentee. In some cases, however, one Mentor may have amaximum of two Mentees
