AE Design Services as further described in this Request for Proposal (RFP) for The University of Maryland (UM) Baltimore Washington Medical Center Master Plan Phase I project in Glen Burnie, Maryland. This project will prioritize sustainable and high-performance building design, incorporating low energy usage, no carbon emissions, and environmentally responsible solutions to align with UMMS’s commitment to sustainability and long-term operational efficiency. The selected Design Partner is expected to integrate and incorporate strategies for energy conservation, carbon neutrality, and environmentally conscious material selection into the project’s design approach. Design must also comply with Maryland Green Building Standards and the Climate Solutions Now Act of 2022 and the subsequent Building Energy Performance Standards (IBEPS). The scope of this RFP includes feasibility and assisting the Construction Manager (CM) with feasibility pricing; programming of the Master Plan Phase I; concept and schematic design; and preparation for CON filing. In addition, we ask for Add Alternative Services to complete Design Documents and Construction Documents for all of Phase I.
