Scope of Work The compensation study will encompass the following roles totaling approximately 110 positions: 1. USM Chancellor 2. Presidents of USM Institutions 3. Executive Directors at the Three USM Regional Centers 4. Employees at the USM System's Office Scope Details 1. Market Analysis: Conduct benchmarking across these roles, considering higher education and relevant public/private sectors. 2. Data Collection: Gather detailed data on all elements of compensation, including base salary, benefits, deferred compensation, bonuses, and other remunerative elements. 3. Peer Comparisons: Establish relevant peer groups for each position to assess competitive positioning and internal equity. 4. Recommendations: Provide actionable, data-driven recommendations specific to each role. 5. Compliance and Equity Review: Ensure that all recommendations align with applicable Maryland and federal regulations and address internal equity.
