Maryland Department of Transportation, Maryland State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA or Administration) is issuing this Multi-Step Invitation for Bids (MS-IFB) in order to procure the services as specified in Section 2 of this MS-IFB, from a contract between the successful bidder(s) and the Maryland Department of Transportation MDOT), State Highway Administration (SHA) to provide a full range of materials inspections at the point of manufacture nationwide. This will include Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) and Quality Assurance Oversight (QA) of steel fabrication, including sampling, protective coating applications, prestressed and precast concrete manufacturing, auditing of fabrication and manufacturing facilities, and providing a Technical Associate (Hanover Maryland Location Only). Inspections will be in support of MDOT SHA’s quality assurance program for the fabrication & manufacturing of materials.
