Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Review of course listings in an excel document and properly laying them out in a publication style consistent with provided style guide • Formatting content provided by Montgomery Parks • Designing THREE versions of each GUIDE (v.1 & v.2 Drafts; v.3 Final GUIDE) and one final “reader spread” pdf for final proof approval stage • Designing page proofs for: o Ice Rinks o Tennis Centers o Ag History Farm Park o Brookside Gardens o Black Hill Nature Center o Brookside Nature Center o Locust Grove Nature Center o Maydale Nature Classroom o Meadowside Nature Center o Historic Sites o Driving Range/Archery o Wheaton Sports Pavilion o Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park ; Graphic Design includes**: • In addition to laying out course content, the contractor will also create and design marketing collateral or “ads” that are included in the GUIDE pages. These ads highlight special events, festivals and promote Montgomery Parks’ facilities. • Updating existing ads to reuse within the Guide. • Creating sidebar, half-page and full-page facility ads using graphic design and creative elements for marketing purposes. • Designing up to THREE versions of each ad (v.1 & v.2 Drafts; v.3 Final) • Placing camera-ready ads provided by Montgomery Parks • There are typically between 45-55 total facility ads per publication, of which the contractor will be responsible for 40-60 percent. ; Other Design, Layout & Production, which includes: • Placing an introductory letter (content to be provided by Montgomery Parks) • Creating and/or updating directory pages (for the four seasonal GUIDES only) • Creating index pages (for the Summer Camp GUIDE only) • Creating table of contents (1.25 pages) • Creating the back cover of publication two times per year (content to be provided by Montgomery Parks) .
