This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Do not submit a proposal or quote. Vendors are invited to provide responses to the request below. This RFI is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any items/services, or for the Government to pay for the information received.
The purpose of this RFI is to identify solutions that can help U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC) provide development and maintenance support to mobile applications related to Army weapon and business systems. The SEC is seeking industry's ideas, recommendations, and solutions to more efficiently develop and maintain mobile application software, including, but not limited to: (1) preferred mobile operating systems/coding languages/data storage; (2) necessary tools and techniques; (3) unique infrastructure requirements; (4) cybersecurity requirements and/or impacts; (5) Army domain lessons learned; (6) mobile user authentication; (7) mobile application update processes (i.e. via DISA store, Apple Store, Google Play, etc.) and/or dealing with frequent OS updates.
Input should be provided via electronic mail to Kevin Venezia, Applications Engineering Branch Chief (A), kevin.m.venezia.civ@mail.mil no later than 4:00PM eastern daylight time, 31 August 2018. Responses should be no more than 5 pages, and should be submitted electronically as one complete document.
