Maryland Public Television seeks to retain the services of a web design/programming firm to produce a digital library website called MathPath, for the National STEM Digital Library (NSDL) with funding from National Science Foundation (NSF). The site targets math educators at the elementary level. Maryland Public Television is charged with cataloging a collection of digital elementary math resources for the National STEM Digital Library, NSDL.org. Under this NSF grant, MPT, with tools developed by NSDL, will identify, aggregate, vet and catalog the metadata of existing digital resources currently available on the web that include, materials for student learning and professional development materials for educators. Materials may include lesson plans, journal articles, videos, interactive activities and virtual manipulatives. The collection will be presented in a stand-alone searchable website integrating Web 2.0 capabilities to enhance and support an educator community in using the cataloged resources No additional specifications were given.
