The scope of work includes providing labor, equipment, materials, access, etc. necessary to perform maintenance and repair of both Curtis Creek Draw Bridges. Repairs include but are not limited to electro-mechanical work, structural steel, concrete, drainage and joint devices, bearings, and ancillary structures. Maintenance work includes providing general housekeeping, mechanical, and electrical maintenance of both draw bridges. Maintenance items may include but is not limited to the following: General Housekeeping: 1. Clean and remove trash and debris from control house, machinery and electrical levels, and access platform drains 2. Maintain control house heating and AC systems 3. Maintain bascule pier sump pumps 4. Maintain bascule pier fender system Mechanical: 1. Lubricate and maintain all machinery components. Machinery components include but are not limited to the following: Motors, open gearing, speed reducers, bearings, couplings, brakes, pins, lock bars, guides, and sprockets 2. Remove and dispose of existing grease and oil from machinery 3. Check oil levels at speed reducers 4. Check and adjust brake settings 5. Check machinery component fasteners 6. Observe machinery during operations Electrical: 1. Verify proper function and maintain all electrical system components. Electrical components include but are not limited to the following: Control consoles, circuit breakers, panelboards, motor control centers, disconnect switches, air horns, limit switches, resolvers, encoders, vector drives, resistors, transformers, generators, navigation lights, advanced warning sign lights, traffic signals, warning gates, warning gongs, and photo electric sensors 2. Check and replace control house and bascule pier light fixtures and/or bulbs 3. Check electrical wire and terminations 4. Check conduit, fittings, junction, terminal and pull boxes 5. Maintain traffic signals and advanced warning signs 6. Verify proper operation of electrical components 7. Perform generator maintenance, load bank testing, and verifying proper operations.
