Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Coordinator of special education services for underserved/unserved orthodox Jewish students shall be responsible for the following: ♦ Acting as a liaison between MSDE, DSE/EIS, CJE, developing working relationships with Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPSS) and Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) to ensure that students eligible for special education and related services have an appropriate service plan or IEP developed and implemented; ♦ Developing and assisting with technical assistance to BCPSS and BCPS to ensure Child Find activities are conducted in a culturally sensitive manner; and ♦ Assisting DSE/EIS in supporting the needs of these children in public schools, private schools and Jewish Day schools as appropriate; to maintain and continually update the database and establish a mechanism for confidential communication with families.
