Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to select one Contractor to serve the Maryland Judiciary as a Microsoft Authorized North American Government Large Account Reseller (LAR) to provide Microsoft software products and LAR related services at a fixed percentage discount off of the applicable Microsoft Estimated Retail Price List (ERP) established in the current Microsoft Select (01S64680) and Enterprise Agreements (01E66284) with the State of Maryland. The AOC intends to make a single contract award as a result of this RFP. The AOC was created to implement court policies established by the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals, who is the administrative head of the Maryland Courts. The AOC acts as a liaison between the Judicial, Legislative, and Executive branches of government and supports the Chief Judge in fulfilling his administrative responsibilities. The AOC operates under the administrative leadership of the State Court Administrator with the assistance of department managers in the areas of human resources, budget and finance, administrative services, court research and development, procurement and contracts, legal affairs, judicial information systems, family administration and program services. 2.2.2 Size and scope of the Maryland Judiciary: - AOC: 4 locations in Annapolis - District Court: 45 locations including Commissioners offsite offices - Circuit Court: 34 locations including sites with additional buildings at different addresses - Off site Court of Appeals and Court of Special Appeals offices The JIS is comprised of six units including technology research and development, application development and support, hardware installation and maintenance, operation of the Data Center computer systems, and support of online case management and business applications at the District and Circuit Courts across the State The AOC, on behalf of the Judicial Information System (JIS), seeks to competitively select a Contractor to serve as the Microsoft Authorized North American Government Large Account Reseller (LAR) for Select and Enterprise Agreements to support approximately 3,000 constituents of the Judiciary.
