The Maryland State Highway Administration in Wicomico County Maryland is seeking bids from qualified towing services to establish a 48 month contract not to exceed the successful bid that is under $50,000. This contract will be for as-needed towing of State of Maryland Fleet vehicles only. Types of vehicles needing service will include, but are not limited to: Light duty vehicles, Passenger Cars, Medium Duty vehicles, Heavy Duty vehicles, Dump Trucks, Loaders, Hydraulic Excavator (Gradall) and Tractor Mowers. The contracted vendor may also be requested to winch or extract State Fleet vehicles that become stuck or disabled during emergencies or other situations. This contract will not be used to tow Private owned vehicles during snow emergencies. Vendor must be able to respond to calls (as needed) on 24 hours, 365 days per year basis. Vendor must supply SHA with 24 hour monitored phone line.
