A. The contractor shall be responsible for complete Preventative Maintenance, for all the equipment covered under the contract. B. The contractor will bring to the attention of SHA any parts not covered under this contract which are in need of repair or replacement along with any defective parts which would affect the operation or the safety of the operation. C. All materials furnished under this contract shall comply with all applicable DLLR codes and commercial standards. D. The contractor shall be responsible for all safety devices and shall perform or assist to perform under the contract all safety tests and inspections as required by the DLLR or other regulatory bodies. This shall include, but not limited to, the Annual and Category 1 Tests on all Elevators. The Annual and Category 1 tests on the Elevators shall be scheduled by calling 301-776-7619 E. The Contractor must notify SHA in writing concerning the results of all safety tests, inspections and re-inspection. Should an elevator fail a safety test, the unit must be taken out of service and repairs must be made, and the unit must be back in service within 48 hours. F. The Contractor may make a request for extension of time if the repair requires more time. All requests must be made in writing with an explanation for the delay attached. G. The Contractor shall be responsible for timely notification to the DLLR, for re-inspection of any equipment. The Contractor shall be responsible for the re-inspection fee, if charged by DLLR. H. The Contractor shall provide wall and floor protection when necessary to protect any and all materials inside the elevator compartment. I. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing and for the placement of barricades, tarps, plastic, flag tape and other safety/traffic control equipment required to protect the public, surrounding area and equipment. J. It is the responsibility of the contractor to make Representatives available for the testing of the fire alarm system to prove the recall of the elevators to the proper floor. This is to be done for each elevator.
