The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Medical Disability Examination Office (MDEO) contracts with Contractors to perform Compensation and Pension (C&P) disability examinations for Veterans. All medical examiners are required to complete specific certification trainings prior to performing Medical Disability Examinations (MDE). Once certified, all medical examiners are required to complete additional ad-hoc training as deemed required by MDEO. Medical examiners require the ability to complete assigned or self-elected training courses. The Learning Management System (LMS) will allow MDEO to assign trainings, track training completions, and retrieve information stored within the LMS relating to user training completions and course data.
The scope of work for this contract will allow MDEO personnel the ability to upload and maintain current training courses within the LMS and directly view training course completions for MDE medical examiners. This will enable effective program oversight of education requirements for medical examiners and reduce reliance on third- party verification through MDEO Contractors.
