Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.2 Background and Purpose A. The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) operates a fleet of fifty-two (52) light rail vehicles with maintenance operations in Baltimore, Maryland. B. The Contractor shall provide all necessary parts, labor, tools, materials, and supervision as required for repairs to damaged light rail vehicle car shells including but not limited to: • Car body, doors, step wells, skirts, doorframes, window frames, articulated section, roof, blower and HVAC housing, structural members. • Painting, striping, car numbers and other decals. • Fabrication of replacement skirts, fabrication, and reconstruction of other items as necessary to make a vehicle whole after an accident. • Fabrication of stainless. • Sheet metal fabrication and repair of component housing of under-car electrical equipment. C. The Contractor shall perform the work at the Light Rail Vehicle Maintenance Shop, which is located at 344 W. North, Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21217. The Contractor may perform fabrication of panels or small assemblies at Contractor’s shop.
