Specifications include, but are not limited to: 5.1 The Contractor shall provide the necessary uniformed unarmed guards along with materials, equipment, transportation, labor, supervision and expertise necessary to provide Uniformed Unarmed Security guard services as detailed in the specifications, terms, and conditions of this solicitation. 5.2 The purpose of this contract is to provide complete security guard protection to the students, personnel, and guests of RICA. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment, and supervision to provide security and related services as specified herein. 5.3 Hours of Service shall be as follows: 5.3.1 Facility foot patrol: Monday through Friday, one (1) guard from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. 5.3.2 Facility foot patrol Saturdays and Sundays, one (1) guard from 11:00 PM Friday night through 7:00 AM Monday morning. 5.3.3 Reception area of the administration building (Post #2): Monday through Wednesday, one (1) guard from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM, excluding State Holidays. Additional days may require coverage at facilitys request. 5.3.4 Holidays: There are 11 state holidays per year (12 in a general election year), which are: New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Jr.s Birthday, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, General Election Day in even numbered years, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, American Indian Heritage Day (the Friday following Thanksgiving), and Christmas Day. When a Holiday falls on a Monday, the previous weekend coverage shall be continued through 7:00 AM on Tuesday, the day after the Holiday. When a Holiday falls on a Friday, coverage shall begin at 11:00 PM on Thursday, the day before the Holiday, and continue through the weekend until 7:00 AM Monday morning. When a Holiday falls on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, coverage shall continue from 11:00 PM the day before the Holiday through 7:00 AM the day after the Holiday. 5.3.5 RICA reserves the right to alter the scheduling of the shift times for guards, as well as the total number hours to be worked each week. 5.3.6 No security guards at RICA shall work in excess of sixteen (16) hours per shift, nor with a turnaround of less than eight (8) hours.
