Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. The Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services requires daily janitorial services for the Harmony House (a home used for foster care services) in Pasadena, MD, and specialized janitorial services exclusively for the childcare area within Suite B (The Family Support Center) at 80 West Street, Annapolis, MD. The Harmony House is a 1,900 sq. ft. single-family home. The Family Support Center Childcare Area is approximately 2,000 sq. ft. and includes a crib room, infant and very young child play area with snack area, toddler play area, carpeted ramp area, and a large children's bathroom with a diapering station. The property owner provides general janitorial services for the Family Support Center building, but the State of Maryland mandates more frequent and detailed cleaning for childcare areas to maintain appropriate cleanliness and hygiene for infants and very young children. 1.2. The Successful Bidder shall employ trained, reliable, quality-conscious Janitors and supervisors. They shall provide superior on-site service, product technology, application expertise, process knowledge, chemical monitoring techniques, effective and efficient project management, and cost control. 1.3. The County is contracting for the complete performance of each cleaning job as identified in the Specifications, and deductions will, therefore, be made for work omitted or improperly performed. 1.4. The Successful Bidder shall furnish and administer all supervision, and labor to fulfill the requirements of this contract. 1.5. The Successful Bidder shall furnish all equipment, materials, and cleaning supplies not provided by the County. 1.6. Services to be performed under this Contract shall be subject to inspection and approval by County representatives designated by the County Site Coordinator or the Department’s Representative. There shall be no deviations from any part of the Contract or any schedule without prior written approval from the County. 1.7. If services are not performed or required paperwork is not properly filled out and submitted, deductions will occur. The County reserves the right to terminate the Contract for nonperformance at any time it feels such termination is warranted. 1.8. The County reserves the right to hold or delay payment until all required paperwork, checklists, logs, safety information, or any other necessary documentation is properly filled out and submitted to the appropriate County Site Coordinator or the Department’s Representative. 1.9. The County reserves the right to increase, delete, or change required days, hours, services, and locations of service with adequate notice to the Successful Bidder. The use of this contract is not guaranteed. 1.10. Cleanings will take place Monday through Friday after 3:15 p.m.
