BACKGROUND The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District is considering a requirement for custodial services. The Ft McHenry Field Office supports both the Operations and Engineering Divisions with space for the work that can?t be carried out from the main office due to the nature and equipment required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561720 ? Janitorial Services, which has a small business size standard of $22,000,000.00. The jobsite is located Ft McHenry Field office, 2603 Leahy St Baltimore MD 21230. PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project involves janitorial services to maintain all the facilities at Ft McHenry which is a shared office between Operations and Engineering. Office complex consists of three, single story buildings numbered one, three, and four. Building one has two office spaces and one bathroom. Building four has eight offices and two bathrooms. Building three has one office space and one bathroom. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business (SB), Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB). The Government must ensure there is adequate competition within any given socioeconomic category of responsible contractors. Large businesses are not prohibited from submitting a response to this notice; however, SB, Section 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, and WOSB businesses are highly encouraged to participate. It is anticipated the work would be performed throughout the entire year. Potential candidates under this source sought should provide information as to previous jobs that are comparable to the one described. It should contain expertise, and equipment. The contractor must be able to vacuum, sweep, mop, clean bathrooms/office spaces, supply cleaning materials and toiletries and do small loads of laundry. The work is routine. The contractor must have the proper equipment to complete custodial services. Also, must comply to following: A. Site location must be within a 40-mile radius. B. Experienced in doing custodial services. C. Dispatch site location. Duration estimated to be 365 days from date of award with 4 additional option years.
