Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Request for Proposals is soliciting proposals from Internet Service Providers to supply one (1) connection totaling 7 Gbps with ability to expand (with WCPS Circuit adjustment request submitted) to beyond 10 Gbps, symmetric, dedicated, un-metered internet service. 1. The vendor must be able to provide the full- leased amount of bandwidth from WCPS to Major Peering Entities that is dedicated solely to WCPS from WCPS’s demarcation point to the internet backbone at major peering entities. Vendor to provide customer bandwidth allocation and network design strategies employed to mitigate oversubscription. Potential respondents to this RFP are strongly encouraged to carefully consider their suitability as a qualified vendor within the parameters of the definition outlined above prior to submitting a proposal, as it will be strictly applied. 2. Proposed service must consist of transport with an initial capacity of 7 Gbps unmetered upstream and downstream with the option to increase to at least 10 Gbps unmetered upstream and downstream for future growth to meet Maryland House Bill 1388 / Senate Bill 988. If proposed service has capabilities of bursting beyond 7 Gbps, without Circuit adjustment requirements, please identify the amount of Gbps and cost ratios associated on the section provided on the Price Proposal. 3. The vendor must be capable of supporting seamless internal and external BGP Routing. 4. The vendor will be responsible to work in conjunction with WCPS Network Engineering staff for installation and implementation of proposed service. The design for the service must be included in the RFP Technical Proposal and approved by WCPS Network Engineering prior to implementation. 5. The vendor must be able to guarantee at minimum of 99.99% network availability and guaranteed packet delivery within each calendar month. Exceptions only to include outages caused by WCPS owned equipment, Last Mile fiber cuts by third parties, Acts of God, or other Force Majeure events. 6. Vendor to provide documented SLA to include remediation. The vendor will list any credit per day due upon failure to meet WCPS Connectivity Uptime and Bandwidth Requirements on the section provided on the Price Proposal.
