Technical Requirements/Specifications Respondents are invited to provide information and/or material samples describing their capacity to develop, provide, or adapt high-quality instructional materials that are aligned to the revised Maryland College and Career Ready (MCCR) Standards for Integrated Algebra 1. Information may include, but is not limited to, the following: A. Standards Alignment a. A description of how existing or proposed instructional materials are aligned to the revised Integrated Algebra 1 standards, including: i. The degree of current alignment ii. Standards that are fully addressed, partially addressed, or not yet addressed b. Examples illustrating how materials reflect: i. the intent and rigor of the standards, not limited to topical coverage; and ii. meaningful integration c. A description of how connections across standards and mathematical domains (algebraic thinking, geometric reasoning, and reasoning with data and statistics) are intentionally embedded. d. Instructional routines aligned to expectations of math instruction as outlined in Maryland’s Mathematics Policy, specifically- Section III. Advancing Numeracy Through Consistent, Clear, and Effective Mathematics Instruction B. Coherence, Reasoning, and Modeling a. A description of how instructional materials support coherence within and across units, including the intentional integration of concepts b. Examples of how materials promote mathematical reasoning and modeling, including task design, unit structure, and the progression of ideas over time c. A description of how materials embed the Standards for Mathematical Practice across lessons and units to support integrated sense-making and problem solving d. A description of how the materials are aligned to Maryland’s High-Quality Instructional Materials Framework and Rubric for mathematics C. Adaptability and Alignment Readiness a. The extent to which materials are: i. adaptable with targeted revisions to meet revised expectations; and ii. requiring substantial development to achieve alignment b. A description of the scope and nature of revisions required for full alignment D. Development and Revision Process a. Typical phases and timelines for materials development and adaptation b. Review, feedback, and revision cycles c. Experience collaborating with state education agencies or large districts on high-quality instructional materials development/adaptation
