Specifications include, but are not limited to:Technical Requirements 14.4.1 The Contractor shall handle, pick-up, transport, market, and recycle scrap metal p l a c e d i n t h e C o n t r a c t o r ’ s r o l l -off containers, in a safe manner in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Contractor shall accept all types of scrap metal and items containing metal as well as non-metal components except as specifically i d e n t i f i e d i n t h e C o n t r a c t o r ’ s d e s c r i p t i o n o f e x c e p t i o n s i n c l u d e d w i t h t h e b i d submittal. Types of scrap metal include, but are not limited to, appliances, furnaces, air conditioners, auto parts, bicycles, swing sets, mowers, window frames, doors, piping, fixtures, siding, chains, sheet metal, wire, cable, empty oil filters, and tire rims. The Contractor shall accept all items that are at least 20% metal. 14.4.2 The Landfill Superintendent will specify a pick-up schedule for the 40 cubic yard containers at the start of the contract. The pickup schedule will be modified from time to time as required and dependent upon the quantity of scrap metal received. The Contractor will follow the pick-up schedule as established. Pickups shall be routinely scheduled every day that the landfill is open (Saturdays included). With prior permission of the
