Specifications include, but are not limited to: Minimum Quality of Hydrated Lime Particle size distribution to meet the following gradation: Hydrated Lime Specifications – size 100% passes at 40 mesh sieve, 98% at 100 mesh, and 85% at 325 mesh. Chemistry: 95% Ca(OH)2. Moisture less than 2%. Contractor is responsible for pneumatic loading of product into sealed storage silos. Deliveries are on an as-needed basis. The average truckload is based on 20 - 25 tons per delivery. Hydrated Lime Delivery Locations 1. Mill Run Doser, located approximately 1 mile up Mill Run Road, a county maintained, hard surface road, Allegany County. 2. McDonald Mine Doser, located at South Railroad St SW, Barton, Allegany County, MD 21521. Note: Access to site is over a railroad crossing that may not accommodate a tractortrailer combination. 3. Kempton Airshaft Doser, the access road to the doser is located on the left side of Kempton Road, approximately 2 miles east of Route 219, Garrett County, MD. The doser is located approximately 2 miles off of the Kempton Road on a gravel road. This area is subject to extreme weather conditions during the winter months.
