Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and supplies necessary to perform the unarmed uniformed security guard service for the HCDSS, with the methods and conditions herein specified confined solely to unarmed services. These services shall be provided in an orderly, continuous and consistent manner, which will support the effective delivery of services to customers, and which will cause the minimum amount of disruption to agency operations. Security services are requested for two (2) unarmed uniformed guards to be provided on State workdays, starting one half-hour before opening hour and one hour after closing hours. Any special equipment required for the guards to provide these services will also be provided by the successful Bidder. The estimated number of hours for two (2) unarmed uniformed guards for this contract term is 1296 hours. This is an estimate only and will only be used for Bid preparation purposes. These hours are not guaranteed. STANDARDS AND QUALIFICATIONS OF GUARDS The following minimum standards shall apply to all security guards assigned to this State facility, documentation of which must be provided to the HCDSS Assistant Director for Administration or Designee. A. High School graduate or equivalency certificate. B. The ability to read, speak and write English in a clear and concise manner. C. No record of criminal convictions or be on probation. D. In good general health without physical defects that limit job performance. E. All security personnel shall have a pre-employment physical examination which must be administrated by a licensed physician, provided by and paid for by the Contractor. F. The Contractor shall insure that all security guards that are assigned must be in good general health and are physically and mentally capable of performing their duties. G. The Contractor must provide proof and evidence to the Assistant Director or Designee that each guard has passed the physical examination and is in good health to perform his/her duties. This information should be provided within one week of beginning guard duty at the HCDSS
