I. Routine Mowing/Maintenance Practices: a. Police entire property for trash and debris each visit. b. Mow and trim all turf as needed bi-monthly c. All concrete paving areas to be edged at least two times per month, (sidewalks, curb patio). d. All walks, gutters, and driveways to be swept or blown clean each visit. e. Chemical and mechanical shall be used to control weeds in shrub beds, tree wills, sidewalks, curb, gutters parking lots, and fence lines. f. Broadleaf weed control to be applies in spring and re-applied as necessary throughout growing season. g. Turf feeding and crab grass preventer to be applied at appropriate time. We are typically using a 1 time per year ‘hi-tech’ turf fertilization combining with a crabgrass preventer applied in fall. EQUIPMENT The Contractor shall make available all necessary equipment to perform tractor mowing, trimming and litter pick up activities. This shall include, but not limited to: A) Truck(s)/Truck and Trailer - Capable of transporting all equipment and personnel to job site. B) 2 - Self -propelled, walk behind mowers with 48” - 60” cutting capacity (with baggers or shields). C) 1 - Push mower with 20” - 27” cutting capacity. D) 3 - Heavy duty string trimmers. E) 2 - Portable blower unit - Either backpack mounted or hand-held. F) All safety equipment required by M.O.S.H.A. and the Administration for Hand mowing and trimming activities.
