The work at the Grosvenor-Strathmore Rail Station Platform consists of selective demolition of platform pavers and elements, concrete repairs, complete replacement of all platform pavers as well as the design, fabrication as needed, and installation of: Remove, redesign and reconstruct the station platform structural cantilevers for the future installation of half height platform screen doors/gates (PSD/G). Remove, repair and reinstall wind screens, wind shelters and pylons. Replace globe lighting within the station platform canopy (platform level only), including pylons. Repair and painting of platform level railings and end gates. WMATA will purchase long lead items (granite edge and platform tiles – hex and tactile). a. Design-Builder shall coordinate with the vendor for the delivery of the items to the site. WMATA will provide the under-edge lighting system. a. Design-Builder will pick them up at a WMATA facility within 25 miles of the work site.
