Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.2.1.1 Plan, coordinate, and provide a minimum of 62 clock hours of RN-FNE training and clinical hours, with an emphasis on prioritizing RN-FNE Pediatric certification. Training may include hours on theory, forensic nursing, or forensic science and/or clinical hours (virtual or in-person) to count towards RN-FNE certification. A. Curriculum may incorporate topics from any area in the Maryland Board of Nursing approved standardized curriculum, but project activities should incorporate topics indicated as a priority by Southern Maryland FNEs. a. While the training priority is RN-FNE Pediatric certification, training or clinical hours towards RNFNE Adult certification may be provided as part of the 62 clock hours in consult with the MDH Contract Monitor and Southern Maryland partners. B. Ensure that training topics incorporate warm referral skills to the local rape crisis center and describe types of survivor services and benefits of support services to support the long-term health and wellness of survivors that receive exams. C. Training and clinical hours may be in-person and/or virtual. a. Offeror proposals shall describe the venue or platform where the training will occur, explaining the rationale for selection. D. Demonstrate in its proposal how the Offeror will prioritize registration for nurses in Southern Maryland (e.g. outreach, coordination, etc.). E. Be responsible for the registration, platform/venue logistics, and provision of Continuing Nurse Education (CNE) credits. F. Develop and disseminate a short post-training survey to measure knowledge and skills gained and additional training needs. a. Offeror proposals shall provide a description of the format and timeline of when the post-training survey will be disseminated to FNEs. b. Offeror proposals may include a sample template of post-training survey questions. G. Submit a training report within two weeks after each training (as referenced in 3.2.3.2).
