Specifications include, but are not limited to:Nature of Work: Duties include: Assist the Coordinator of Fine Arts in the day-to-day operation of the Office of Fine Arts which includes scheduling, communication, and internal processing of new and existing fine arts initiative documents, reports, grants, and budgets. Manage to PROLOGUES and EXHIBITION programs by communicating with statewide supervisors and lead teachers and arts partners. Maintain a consistent and relevant electronic presence for the Fine Arts Office through website updates, maintenance of distribution lists, and e-publications. Assist the board of the Alumni of Maryland Schools Arts Programs by assisting in events, developing projects, and coordinating communication. Work with fine arts-related MSDE staff members as support for the Maryland Artist Teacher Institute, the Institute of Creativity in Education, and College and Career Readiness Conferences. Liaise with the professional organizations connected with each arts discipline. Communicate with all professional organizations, arts partners, and statewide stakeholders with any MSDE Fine Arts Standards-based information. Requirements: Five (5) years experience in arts education, arts administration, and/or a professional arts company. Organizational skills that include: An in-depth knowledge of at least two art forms with high familiarity of all five (Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre, Visual Art) The ability to organize large numbers of people.
