Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Gaithersburg is seeking to secure services for fencing installation, repairs, modifications, and improvements consisting of all labor, materials, hand tools, and equipment required for performing fencing services to City owned and leased facilities; The Work may include, but my not be limited to the following services related to fencing installation and repair, on an on-call, as-needed basis: A. Major and minor fencing repairs, alterations. B. Replacing, relocating, and/or adding fencing and gates. C. Adding to existing fencing. D. General maintenance of existing fencing systems. E. Installation of new fencing systems. F. General clean-up of job sites and disposal of construction debris daily. Four (4) foot high, six (6) foot high, eight (8) foot and ten (10) foot high chain-link fence shall consist of furnishing and erecting chain-link fence as specified below. Fencing will be measured and paid for at the contract unit price bid per linear foot (L.F.) for the actual number of linear feet measured to centers of end posts. Linear foot price shall include all materials, labor, equipment, tools and incidentals necessary to complete the work including terminal, end, pull, corner posts, top rail, mid rail, bottom rail, fittings, bracing, truss rods, tension wire, footings and all other items required to properly install a fence. Specifications Galvanized Chain-link Chain-link fabric shall be nine (9) gauge, and mesh shall be two (2) inch, 1.2 oz. galvanization. Vinyl Coated Chain-link Chain-link fabric shall be nine (9) gauge before vinyl coating, thermally-fused vinyl coated, Class 2B, 7 mil coating.
