The Division of Early Intervention and Special Education Services is seeking a Family Support Specialist on a part-time basis to respond to parent concerns, provide information about local resources, liaison with local education agencies, collaborate with other offices within the Agency and State, and provide other supports as needed in matters related to special education and related services. 1. Respond to parent concerns regarding special education matters. 2. Attempt to resolve concerns by providing information regarding: community resources, investigating concerns with the local education agency and providing follow-up with the family, providing information about special education processes and procedures, connecting the family with local education agency support teams, and other ways to resolve concerns. 3. Enter contact data into a database.
