Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The County welcomes the responses of all prospective ISP’s as well as competitive providers, nonprofit organizations, and public cooperatives.; 2. ISP’s must meet all the grant requirements and directly apply (be the applicant) to the OSB for this specific grant.; 3. The county has designated to the best of its ability, nine unserved target areas for possible broadband expansion which are identified on the attached map.; a. These are not the only unserved areas in the county. The county is sharing this mapping and address information purely to assist interested ISPs identify unserved target areas.; b. The County is open to modifications to the target areas.; c. Included with the map is a spreadsheet with the number of and the primary structure addresses in each of the nine target areas.; 4. The County’s preferred technology is fiber-to-the-premises.; 5. The County is also open to considering the extension of hybrid fiber-coaxial service from adjacent areas, so long as the resulting network provides the necessary level of service to meet the grant requirements.
