Harford opened its door in 1957 and has been the primary source of higher education in Harford County. Offering more than 70 affordable degree and certificate programs of study to nearly 2,000 full-time and 7,500 part-time students, as well as a wide variety of continuing e d u c a t i o n c o u r s e s t o 1 1 , 0 0 0 s t u d e n t s a y e a r , H C C ’ s t o p p r i o r ity is the quality of education we provide. H C C ’ s I n s t i t u t i o n a l G r a n t s O f f i c e p r o v i d e s s e r v i c e s i n i d e n t i f y i n g g r a n t o p p o r t u n i t i e s , assisting with grant preparation and submission and helping with the administration of awarded grants. During the past five years, the College’s annual grant awards on average totaled approximately $1.2 million per year. While the majority of this funding came from the state grant opportunities, the College has received funding on the federal level from the National Endowment for the Humanities, National Endowment for the Arts and the U.S. Department of Labor. Scope of Work Harford Community College is interested in contracting with a higher education grant consulting firm to enhance our federal grant opportunities. While we have been able to secure some grant dollars, we believe by retaining a higher education grants consulting firm, the College will be better positioned to receive federal dollars. Specifications We are seeking to secure services from a successful, well-established firm with extensive higher education experience that will: 5 •Meet with the College leadership and help us identify institutional priorities where federal funding is available. •Research all federal grant opportunities and identify those that are well suited for the institution
