Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Business and Economic Development is soliciting for a qualified contractor through this RFP to provide the agency with a space and unmanned systems incubator feasibility study. The feasibility study should provide content in the following four (4) areas: A. Within the area of Earth and Climate Studies the study shall: - Provide critical context: summarize current private sector products and services offered in this arena, customer profiles and overall industry outlook - Identify and review leading private sector companies/providers in the industry and products and services offered - Identify shortlist of likely companies that would be interested in incubation. Analyze the state of this sector i.e. robustness of startup/entrepreneurial activity and private sector innovation - Identify existing and potential competitive advantages Maryland presents Need to clearly identify likely competitive advantages, and what else needs to happen in order for Maryland and the incubator to be a premier location for companies in the industry and - Identify and quantify specific opportunities including supply chain, manufacturing and support services opportunities for Maryland associated with Earth and Climate Science in Maryland. Identify which ones are best suited to be proximate to NASA, Wallops Flight Facility, and NOAA
