Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration needs a welding contractor to perform various welding assignments to equipment and facilities for the Fairland Shop in Montgomery County, MD. The contractor will be required to perform various welding assignments as needed to the State Highway Administration equipment, facilities, and along State highways in Montgomery County, MD. The welder must be certified with a minimum of five years of experience. The contractor must be able to repair modify or fabricate snowplows, plow push frames, steel or stainless-steel salt spreader boxes and aluminum or steel dump bodies. The contractor must own his own equipment and be able to respond in adverse weather conditions. The contractor will be required to provide his own welding rods, spools, gasses, torches and other supplies needed to complete the work.
