Bids are requested for a project involving Exterior Painting of the Cranberry Water Treatment Plant Building at 401 Lucabaugh Mill Road Westminster MD (“Building”). Approximate square footage of the exterior painting surface of the Building is 13,000 sq. feet (the potential bidders should verify this calculation). The present exterior look of the building (slight off-white color of the Building with Blue Horizontal Stripe) should be kept intact. The work at the Cranberry Water Treatment Plant will consist of: a. Clean surfaces prior to painting with hot water washer, cleaning solution and high volume/low pressure to remove dirt, mildew, chalking of old paint and other surface grime. Contractor should provide lift for upper access. b. Contractor should protect building surrounding grounds and structures with drops and plastic. c. Inspect caulk between precast and replace all damaged/cracked sections of caulk with Sicaflex caulk for exterior walls or equal. d. Apply a coat of Sherwin Williams LOXON Masonry Conditioner Primer by roller. e. Apply two coats of Sherwin Williams exterior grade Super Paint or equal by roller. f. The area under the dock has to be painted as a part of the project. g. Band around the Building, trim around the top, and the two steel awnings at the main entrance and the rear exit should be painted in blue. h. The Main Entrance structure should be painted as a part of the Project.
