Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide Expanded School-Based Mental Health Services. These services will provide mental health therapy, programs, and interventions to children and adolescents in the school setting. 2.2.1 This RFP with Anne Arundel County Public Schools, herein referred to as AACPS, is established to govern the provision of school based mental health services to Medicaid eligible students and students with private insurance and their families within the school and community setting in the Crofton and Arundel clusters. The selected agency(ies) shall assist children and adolescents who have behavioral challenges, emotional crises, adjustment disorders, mental illness, and other issues affecting academic, social, and emotional development. 2.1.2 The purpose of this initiative is to provide the structure for the selected agency(ies) and AACPS to work together in providing expanded school-based mental health services for students experiencing social and emotional barriers to learning. These services will be delivered within the school and community setting. 2.1.3 Students enrolled in this program in Anne Arundel County Public Schools will be eligible to receive school-based individual counseling and family therapy in the clinic or at home for in the Crofton and Arundel cluster schools. The agency(ies) selected will provide psychiatric services, if needed for the individual. They will also provide other programs as agreed between the partners.
