Provide Environmental Engineering Services for projects in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, including design services to repair, rehabilitate, replace, and relocate assets (sewer collection system and water distribution system pipelines and appurtenances) located in the Road and Environmentally Sensitive Areas (ESAs); Provide permitting/coordination services and staff resources in support of the design and preparation of contract documents (plans and specifications); as well as the design for protection of exposed assets. Work includes, but is not limited to: A. ENGINEERING SUPPORT AND ASSESSMENTS 1. Inspection, testing, and evaluation services, including: a. Sewer pipelines and appurtenances: (1) Review of record drawings and maintenance data. (2) Field reconnaissance for location and identification of structures near the project. (3) Field walks to identify and locate exposed assets. (4) Locating service connections, cleanouts, and manholes. (5) Internal and external visual inspection of manholes. (6) Close Circuit Television Video (CCTV) inspection of manholes. (7) Smoke Testing. (8) Dye Testing. (9) Review of videos for rehab recommendations; and (10) Identification of manholes, pipe defects, and deficiencies, using NASSCO standards. b. Water pipelines and appurtenances: (1) Review of record drawings and maintenance data. (2) Locating service connections, curb boxes, meter boxes, valve boxes, and vaults. (3) Analysis of lay schedules for existing Pre-stressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP) (4) Preliminary alignment; and (5) External visual inspection of vaults, valves, and fire hydrants. (6) Determination of material of pipeline and water house services. (7) Identification of defects and deficiencies. (7) Test System Shut Down
