Specifications include, but are not limited to: Bid Item #1- Mobilization/ Demobilization a) Description: Mobilization/Demobilization shall include, but not necessarily be limited to: the performance of preparatory construction operations, including the movement of personnel and equipment to and from the project site; stakeout and maintenance of the same necessary to complete the work; access to construction area; dumpsters as necessary; site safety measures; port-a-pots as necessary; costs for shop drawing preparation and processing; and general construction site clean-up. The cost of required insurance and bonds, and office administration shall be included in this item.; b) Measurement: Mobilization/ Demobilization will not be measured but will be paid for on a lump sum basis.; c) Payment: When the Contractor has established the necessary facilities as expressed above, an allowance of 50% of the lump sum price for Mobilization/ Demobilization will be payable as part of the first monthly estimate. The remaining fifty percent (50%) will be paid in even increments for each of the projected remaining monthly estimates.;; 2. Bid Items #2, 3, 4 & 5– Corn Crib Exterior Repairs a) Description: The exterior repairs to the corn crib shall include, but is not necessarily limited to furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials needed to close all slat/span openings on the outside of the building; any exterior carpentry work; build a new exterior door (to match existing wood beside it) for the east side opening with hinges and lock set; County padlock to be provided to be installed at the exterior doorway; build a new wood stairway ~4’ high setting on a concrete base, with handrails and guards on the east side to access the exterior doorway; remove lean-to on south side; build a new wood exterior door for the south side window to match new exterior door with no gaps and the frame rebuilt as needed; and paint all exterior wood.; b) Measurement: This item will not be measured but will be paid for on a lump sum basis.; c) Payment: Payment for the above line item will be made based upon the estimated percentage of the item actually completed as mutually agreed between the County and the Contractor. ; 3. Bid Items #6, 7 & 8– Corn Crib Interior Repairs a) Description: The interior repairs to the corn crib shall include, but is not necessarily limited to furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials needed to repair the existing stairway between the 1st and 2nd floors and adding handrails and guards; replace all corner posts; replace rot damaged log joists and hand hewn log joists; replace any interior trim and slats that are missing to especially eliminate fall hazards; and remove all debris from the corn crib and dispose of it off-site. Floors shall be broom clean.; b) Measurement: This item will not be measured but will be paid for on a lump sum basis.; c) Payment: Payment for the above line item will be made based upon the estimated percentage of the item actually completed as mutually agreed between the County and the Contractor. ; 4. Bid Item #9- Corn Crib Foundation a) Description: The foundation for the corn crib shall include, but is not necessarily limited to furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials needed to support the structure temporarily and permanently; re-construct all the stone piers with adequate frost depth with concrete masonry units (CMU) piers with the existing stone reused for the sides.; b) Measurement: This item will not be measured but will be paid for on a lump sum basis.; c) Payment: Payment for the above line item will be made based upon the estimated percentage of the item actually completed as mutually agreed between the County and the Contractor. ; 5. Bid Item #10- Corn Crib Slate Roof a) Description: Replace existing roof shall include, but is not necessarily limited to furnishing all labor, equipment (including platform and scaffolding), and materials needed to remove the old roof (slate); repair/replace any skip sheathing, rafters or any other rotted roof framing; reinstall the roof overhangs; reinstall a new slate roof including the flashing, snow guards and lightning protection; and painting any outside wood.; b) Measurement: This item will not be measured but will be paid for on a lump sum basis.; c) Payment: Payment for the above line item will be made based upon the estimated percentage of the item actually completed as mutually agreed between the County and the Contractor.
