Service low voltage switchgear. Perform the following mechanical inspections: Confirm correct operation and sequencing of electrical and mechanical interlocks, if applicable. Verify cubicle heater operation, if applicable. Clean, inspect, lubricate and exercise all mechanical mechanisms. Clean unit and housing: Check all insulation details. Check all current carrying parts for corrosion and overheating. Check tightness of bolted electrical connections. Check all wiring and control devices. Inspect & clean control power transformers. Insulation resistance test on each bus section, phase to phase and phase to ground for one minute in accordance with NETA table 100.1. Service low voltage panel boards. Perform the following mechanical inspections: Clean, inspect, lubricate and exercise all mechanical mechanisms. Clean unit and housing: Check all insulation details. Check all current carrying parts for corrosion and overheating. Check tightness of bolted electrical connections. Check all wiring and control devices. Service low voltage fuse disconnects. Perform the following mechanical inspections: Exercise units. Open disconnects for inspection and cleaning. Service contact areas on the fuses and clips. Tighten bus and cable connections. Service high voltage disconnect switches. Perform the following: Service main and arcing contacts. Clean, inspect, lubricate and exercise all mechanical mechanisms. Check contact alignment and opening sequence. Inspect stand-off insulators and arresters. Service contact areas on the fuses and fuse holders (where applicable). Perform insulation resistance and contact resistance tests where possible. Dielectric withstand voltage test on each bus way, phases to phase and phase to ground with untested phases grounded. Apply test voltage for one minute. Tighten all connections. Clean enclosure. Service molded case circuit breakers. Perform the following mechanical inspections: Clean, inspect and exercise unit. Tighten all connections and mounting hardware. Clean housing. Secondary injection testing on solid state over current devices. (4000A Main Circuit Breaker only)
