Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Baltimore City Public School System (City Schools) is seeking proposals from organizations and individuals to provide an evidence based, comprehensive SEL (Social Emotional Learning) curriculum, professional development, and enrichment programming to Central office staff, school leaders, teachers and/or school-based staff within City Schools as well as programs that directly support the social and emotional learning needs of our students. To ensure the district and its schools are partnering with high-quality, board-approved vendors, City Schools seeks applications from organizations and/or individuals with the capacity to provide effective SEL curriculum, SEL professional development for staff, and/or SEL programming for students. Specifically, City Schools seeks vendors with demonstrated capacity in the following areas (but not necessarily limited to these areas): Support for building relationships between students, among students and staff, and between adults; Providing students and/or staff with meaningful opportunities to activate, practice, and reflect on the CASEL SEL Competencies (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision making, and relationship-building); Providing an SEL program or curriculum to become a part of regular teaching routines in homeroom, advisory, or other elective blocks; Providing programs to support and promote positive culture and climate, restorative practices, self-regulation and/or behavior management; Providing professional development to school-based and/or district-level staff which support improved understanding of SEL competencies and build strategies for supporting the integration of such strategies into routines across the classroom, school, and district.
