Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit submittals from qualified firms interested in providing services for the Federal Communications Commission’s E-Rate program, which provides discounts for telecommunications, Internet access and internal connections to eligible schools and libraries with funding from the Universal Services Fund. HCPSS benefits from the E-Rate program by receiving discounts on telecommunications, telecommunications services and Internet access, as well as internal connections, managed internal broadband services and basic maintenance of internal connections through a competitive bidding process.
