Requirements for Driver’s License and State-Issued Identification Card Data:
The contractor shall provide driver’s license data for the data items outlined below:
- Driver license number or state-issued identification card and date issued.
This field should include any unique number associated with the driver license or state-issued identification card provided by the state and/or geography available.
- Type of card
This field should have the type of card associated with the driver license number. For example, the data should indicate if the card was a driver license, identification card, file number and any other type of card that applies to the specific geography.
- Names
There should be a separate field for first, middle, and last names as well as any suffix available.
- Residence address
Associated addresses linked to the driver license number and where the person physically lives and mailing addresses available. Both physical and mailing addressed should be followed by fields related to city, state, zip code, zip extensions.
- Date of birth
- Demographics associated with the Driver license number.
This field should include sex, race, card status (for example, if it is deceased, unlicensed, suspended, etc.). We are not requesting citizenship status related variables.
- Source
This field should include the name of the participant that provided the data, acquisition date, coverage, quality indicators.
- File layout
Specific field names, position, number of characters, date formats. The vendor should provide a codebook and any information related to merging of the data and other important characteristics of the format, size, and other characteristics of the dataset.
- Data quality
Any documentation available to understand how the data quality of the dataset is maintain by state, source, and date.
