Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to partner with one or more organizations who provide differentiation and scaffolding for emergent multilingual learners (EMLs) who are enrolled in high schools, in the context of Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics classrooms in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). This RFP seeks vendors who can provide the integration of content and language via a digital platform that delivers research-based, standards-aligned resources and comprehensive support that develop the academic language in various content areas in Grades 6-12. The products and services would broadly serve the following objectives: ● Focus on developing academic language aligned to the WIDA standards; ● Provide differentiation and scaffolds aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS); ● Provide customized instructional resources and scaffolds aligned to high school content courses in MCPS; ● Provide digital resources via instructional technology that support personalized learning for historically marginalized students and emergent multilingual learners; to support content and English language development (ELD) teachers who are providing content and language instruction in the context of mathematics, science and social studies.
