The scope of this project is the road realignment of Scholar Drive and the installation of a new traffic circle at the intersection of the new Scholar Drive and Yale Drive. The elements of the project include earth work, paving and curbing, storm sewer, stormwater management facilities, site lighting, landscaping and specialty wayfinding signage. Civil/Sitework 1. Provide new pavement and curb and gutter for approximately 4,350 linear feet of roadway. An 8-foot-wide concrete sidewalk will line the roadway along one side as shown. Two new parking lot areas are to be established. A parking and drop-off area at the southwest corner of the ARCC building and an alteration and connection of Parking Lot H to Parking Lot I. Striping for the roadway and parking to delineate lanes and parking spaces will be included. 2. Construct a traffic circle at the intersection of Scholar Drive and Yale Drive. The traffic circle will have a raised curb median in the middle and a raised curb median on the western spur of the circle. Two retaining walls are located on both the northwest and southwest corners of the circle. 3. Install two large culverts, 1- 11’x8’ and 1- 4’7”x6’3” corrugated culverts with concrete headwalls. Provide as an alternative prefab corrugated metal headwalls. Numerous culvert crossings and an enclosed storm drain system at the south end of the relocated Scholar Drive. 4. Stormwater management will be provided for the project in the form of twenty-eight (28) Filterra Box structures with pretreatment vaults. The project will also include the construction of seven (7) micro-bioretention areas with associated structures and landscaping. Electrical 1. Provide new site lighting utilizing LED light sources, including roadway pole lights (Type BB1) along the new loop road, parking lot pole lights (Type AA1/AA2) and pedestrian pole lights (Type CC) for the reconfigured parking lot southwest of the Athletic, Recreation & Community Center (ARCC), and roadway pole lights (Type BB1), pedestrian pole lights (Type CC), and sign lighting (Type DD) at the new traffic circle...
