Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) desires to obtain the professional services of four (4) qualified engineering firms to provide a wide variety of communications and security systems engineering and inspection services for the MTA’s Systems and Equipment Engineering Division. The work will range from the review of existing or new proposed projects, to design specification development, cost estimating, scheduling and furnishing of the construction management services during the installation and testing of a complete system. These services will be in support of various closed-circuit television, security, access control, corrosion control monitoring, Call Centers, Life Cycle Management, transit signal priority, broadband wireless network, voice and data radio network, local area network and wide area network communications systems. The services to be performed under this contract will be under the direct supervision and administration of the MTA. All work will be assigned by work orders which will define in detail the work scope, schedule, manpower and cost of each work order. The MTA will require the services of firms with knowledgeable and experienced systems engineering and design staff to perform the project services described in 1 above. Services to be provided under each contract may include, but are not necessarily limited to, any or all of the following: a. Expert Assistance b. Product Enhancement and Development c. System Evaluation and Testing d. Cost Estimating e. Design and Contract Management f. Monitoring Contractor Performance g. Evaluation of System Condition and Performance
