2.3.1 Existing Pole Mount Light Fixtures: • Remove thirty-three (33) pole-mounted lighting heads. The contractor shall completely disconnect and remove the fixtures from the pole. The existing pole will remain in place. • Remove all electrical wiring in the pole from the lamp to the base (splice point). 2.3.2 Existing Wall Mount Light Fixtures • Remove twenty-nine (29) wall-mount light fixtures. The contractor shall completely disconnect the fixtures from the wall. o Replacement of twenty-one (22) fixtures as wall packs, and (7) as down lights. See the attachment for the locations of the downlights. 2.3.3 New Wall Mount Light Fixtures 1. All lighting fixtures to be of at least 100 Watts equivalent output and a correlated color temperature of 4000K. All lighting fixtures will be photocell controlled. The fixtures must be weather-tight and be of a dark bronze durable finish to withstand rust and deterioration. The fixture must be rated to work in temperature ranges typical for the mid-Atlantic region, minus 40 degrees or high temperatures not exceeding 110 degrees ambient temperature. 2. The fixture furnished by the Contractor will need to be inspected and approved by WRTP Superintendent before installation. The Contractor will reuse all existing buried wire. The Contractor will remove and replace all pole electrical wiring. The Contractor will make sure new wire connections are waterproof and meet or exceed the technical specifications of this scope of work . 3. The Contractor shall provide only electrical products and materials which are listed and labeled by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL). 4. The Contractor shall provide the WRTP Superintendent at the end of the project the manufacturer’s spec sheets for all parts used for this lighting upgrade contract including all energy efficient/ and or green products used. 5. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits before work is started. The Contractor is also responsible for contacting and obtaining utility markings from Miss Utility if applicable. 6. The Contractor shall properly identify, sort, and dispose of discarded materials in accordance with State and Federal guidelines to ensure the safety of the environment. That includes disposing of all hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations. 7. A normal work crew will consist of one lead worker electrician. A commercial journeyman electrician shall be required to be on-site at all times either performing or overseeing the work of an electrician’s apprentice and/or helper.
