This would allow for creative collaborations and strong aesthetic outcomes. Deliverable: A draft public art policy framework that outlines guidelines and objectives for integrating art into capital projects (including architectural, landscape, and infrastructure designs). Deliverable: A set of recommended processes for selecting, commissioning, and maintaining public art. Deliverable: Provide policy language and identification of designated public arts places or districts for mapping overlay and consideration for adoption and incorporation within the update of the Charles County Comprehensive Plan 3) Encourage excellence in the design of public buildings, parks, streets, and infrastructure. This would serve to connect public art with high-quality architecture, landscape architecture, urban/modern design, graphic design, and historic preservation. Deliverable: A best practices section on integrating public art with various design disciplines, including landscape architecture, urban design, graphic design, and historic preservation. 4) Coordinate County planning initiatives by connecting various County departments, commissions, the art community, and residents to cultivate strong working partnerships.
