Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued for the purpose of soliciting responses from qualified cyber security certification firms specializing in the development and delivery of training for Bowie State University (BSU) students participating in the Cyber Warrior Diversity Program. Today technology is used by all, anywhere, anytime and in any situation for every task that you may need such as banking, searching the internet, listening to music or communicating with others. Also, there is a one to many ratio in which one person has several technology devices that may be operated one at a time or simultaneously. All of the aforementioned creates a constant demand for cyber security experts to protect systems and data. Infrastructure failure, risks, threats and personal security both emphasize the call for the brightest students to learn how to protect not only themselves but others that connect to the networks they use to include private and public industries and government. The need for cyber security experts is growing at a faster rate than the available supply. One of the answers to the supply shortage is the Cyber Warrior Diversity Program. The Cyber Warrior Diversity Program aligns with the goals in Bowie State University’s FY 2019 – FY 2024 Racing to Excellence Strategic Plan. Specifically, the Cyber Warrior Program supports Goal 1 – Achieve academic excellence supported by curricular as well as co-curricular experiences. Committed to diversity and inclusion in the cyber workforce, this program offers a year-long curriculum that provides the most current knowledge and skills needed to fill the shortfall of cybersecurity professionals.
