Specifications include, but are not limited to: i. reviewing the course materials submitted by providers to determine the appropriate number of credit hours for each course and the appropriate course content code; ii. confirming that all required applications and supporting materials are received; iii. conducting a preliminary review of the applications and supporting materials and making a recommendation to the MIA to approve or deny the submission; iv. processing and storing rosters containing completion data for individuals; v. monitoring course reporting by providers to ensure that course completion information is being submitted in a timely manner as dictated by Section 10-116 of the Insurance Article, COMAR 31.03.02 and COMAR 31.03.18; vi. monitoring and reporting the compliance status of individuals by reviewing the required number of hours of continuing education is completed in the appropriate content area for each individual; vii. coordinating the integration and upload of the CE services data to the MIA’s producer licensing system with the MIA’s Producer Licensing Services Contractor (see RFP Section 2.3.6(3) and (4) for more information); viii. working with the State’s current vendor to facilitate the transition from the old to the new system, including access to and/or the migration of any State data, information, documentation and/or test data.
