The vendor will provide accurate measurement of the gallons of product collected for each pickup. 7.12. Transportation and Recycling The Vendor shall assume responsibility for any spills or discharge, including emergency response and cleanup that occurs during loading or transportation. The contaminated gas will be recycled so it does not have to be manifested as hazardous waste. However it should be transported in a vehicle capable of and certified for hazardous waste hauling to ensure safe transportation of the product. All recycling facilities utilized by the Contractor must have US EPA ID numbers. The bidder must supply to Ken Naumann of the Bureau of Solid Waste, Refuse Disposal (410-887-8693), or his authorized representative, a Certificate of Recycling and the name, address and US EPA ID numbers of the recycling facility used for each shipment picked up. Invoices will not be paid unless a Certificate of Recycling has been provided. The County prefers the contaminated gasoline not be manifested as hazardous waste, but should be transported in a vehicle capable of and certified for hazardous waste hauling.
