A. The St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission is currently soliciting Bids for hauling and disposing of biosolids to agricultural land permitted for biosolids application and landfill disposal. Unit costs are required for disposal of both Class B and non-Class B biosolids. Classification of biosolids is determined by the Maryland Department of Environment (MDE) requirements. Approximately 4,500 tons of wet biosolids is disposed of annually. The treatment facilities from which biosolids will be hauled are: 1. Marlay-Taylor Water Reclamation Facility (MTWRF) is located at 48020 Pine Hill Road, Lexington Park, Maryland; and 2. Wicomico Shores Wastewater Treatment Facility (WCS) is located at 35695 Golf Course Drive, Chaptico, Maryland 20659.
