Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department will not guarantee a minimum or maximum number of youth to be served in the resulting contract(s). The Contractor will provide Barber Services twice per month at each facility. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, supplies, certification, licenses, and equipment necessary to provide the services as specified in this IFB. 2.3.2 Barbers providing services at DJS facilities must be: • Currently licensed by the State of Maryland; • Possess their licenses at all times while rendering services in DJS facilities; and • Produce a copy of their licenses to DJS personnel upon request. 2.3.3 Equipment used to provide barber services must be: • Professional brands/models; • Clean and in good working condition; and • Sanitized and disinfected before use on each individual. 2.3.4 The Contractor shall adhere to COMAR 09.16.02.03 – Prohibitions. Barbers must be licensed by the State of Maryland and possess the knowledge and skills to provide the following services: 1. Haircut (Antiseptic treatments after haircut to prevent razor bumps); 2. Shape-up/Line-up (Antiseptic treatments after haircut to prevent razor bumps); 3. Conditioner/moisturizing pomade/style (twist - curl sponge or twisting tool); and 4. Combination (any combination of 2 or more of the listed services above).
